General Information
Welcome to Temple Christian School. Temple has been serving the Valley area with fine Christian education since 1974. Temple Christian School was founded to give Christian parents an alternative to government-sponsored education that does not respect God, or the teachings of God. Temple Christian School is open to all Christian families and many churches are represented in our student body. We hope that we can be of benefit to you and your children. Please remember that your child's education is a cooperative matter between parent and school. We are here for the benefit of your children.
Organization and Authority
We are a voluntary organization that exists at the discretion of Emmanuel Baptist Church. We are a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church and will abide by all the decisions of the Pastor and the Church Board. These also comprise the School Board and are responsible for the decisions outlined in these pages. As a ministry of the church, we are not a separate entity, but we exist as an arm of the church in all facets, whether legal, administrative, or technical.
All employees of the school are employees of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Whenever possible, the job vacancies are filled from the Church membership before going outside the Ministry. All persons working in the Ministry are to be born again Christians and live a separated life that exhibits the traits desirable in a dedicated Child of God. It is mandatory that all married employees be married in accordance to the Biblical guidelines concerning marriage.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Temple Christian School is to educate and train the whole student - physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. Because the Lord required a fit vessel, guidelines for personal habits, definite dress codes, and proper leisure time activities are provided. The student is also provided the opportunity to learn self-discipline and the principle that if one cannot control his own actions and emotions, invariably someone else will control them for him. He must honor the rights of others and respect manners, rules and laws, all of which were created to preserve his freedom.
Not only must a young person have his appearance and actions reflecting the Lord Jesus, but he must also have the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to be used to serve the Lord in the task he would choose. Therefore, the Bible is not substituted for any academic subject, but is integrated into the total education program. The Bible is taught so the student will develop sound values that will govern every area in life. Temple Christian School desires to send out into the community, young people who will truly be leaders with a well-rounded education.
Temple Christian School realizes that character must be trained into a child. There are seven traits that make up good character:
Our Goal is to give above average training in all academic areas, including as much individual help as possible. To provide social training such as respect for others and their property, proper dress and manners; To provide experiences designed to help the child develop motor skills and physical coordination; To provide a Christian example and to instill a basic knowledge of the Bible and to give opportunity for each child to develop a personal relationship with Christ.
Our philosophy is Christian and Bible based. Such a philosophy has produced many great men and many generations of good people. Our school is founded on a conviction that our children are our most precious and most important assets. They deserve the best we can offer in all areas of life.
